Elica Pro Europa 120cm Airflow Inquiry Case

A new installation of the model Pro Europa 120cm in the mid level customer new decorated apartment, after inspection found the exhaust hose is using soft type hose then it caused the airflow is weakened by the depressed soft exhaust hose it is just like a flat up balloon, you need blow up the hose body to let air to pass through.

The problem is that when customer just switch on power speed 1, the airflow just 400m3/h of which is not strong enough to make the air blow up the depressed hose, this is reason for why the airflow is so weak.

Having changed the exhaust hose to hard flexible aluminum foil hose, the airflow is improved much much better, we have conducted a site airflow data test by testo velocity meter, the result is meeting with the Pro Europa factory specifications + 10% airflow data, speed one 446.4m3/h speed two 824.40m3/h and 1332m3/h, overall airflow is 10% more compare to the original product specifications.

The end hose outlet measuring data is 986.40m3/h it is about 21% loss after the suction air passed through the long hose and 2-3 elbow angles.

The velocity meter test is once again proofing the good hood’s performance of the professional Elica model Pro Europa.
